The Air Max 95 originated from an idea by designer Sergio Lozano. Its design is inspired by the human body. The midsole, whose shape is modeled after the human spine, forms the heart of the design. Nylon eyelets symbolize ribs, while multi-layered inserts and mesh represent muscle fibers and tissue. The Air Max 95 features two independent, blow-molded Air-Sole units and is the first shoe with visible cushioning in the forefoot. The Swoosh logo is located on the heel as a distinctive detail.
